Confirmation of Healing. :)

God is good. So good.
Thank You God, for completing your healing in Megan's eyes.
Last year, God took us by surprise when He performed a miracle when we were told at Meg's eye check that she had no more signs of lazy eye or myopia (a totally different diagnosis from what we had been informed of earlier by another specialist). And she has no need to wear glasses anymore.

Since that uplifting event at National Eye Centre, we had always wondered if we should still let her wear glasses. What if it gets worse? What if this doctor is wrong?!? Doubts and fears. It's been our prayer that God will complete His healing with those eyes.

As the days go by, we would notice that she is now able to read words on signs, buildings, banners from far away. Each time she utters what she can read from far away, my heart leaps with the excitement of remembering what God has begun to do.

9 months on. We headed to SNEC once again last Sat to see Dr Quah. Once again, Meg had to go through that dreadful eye-drip ordeal. We witnessed an older girl and another auntie squirming audibly when they had their turns before ours. My brave lil gal endured it all, 6 drips in all. She merely commented that it was smutting and she hated the fact that she can't see clearly for the next day - which translated to not being able to read, draw, colour or see our faces clearly.

After 2 long and detailed tests - one junior and then one senior Optometrist tested her. We saw them putting more and more of those round plates on that heavy frame on her little face (not unlike the test we go through to ascertain our degree when making glasses), and we just kept praying.

Finally, the results. Really thank God for Dr Quah. He is professional, and yet so patient and friendly. Makes a world of difference, esp with kids. The results are out - no more signs of lazy eyes, no myopia, trace of astigmatism left, but not warranted for glasses for our little gal! :) You should've seen the smile on her face.

We are thankful, humbled and awed once again for what He's doing in Megan's life. The best birthday present!
