Getting ACTIVE at BISHAN is fun!

We don't get to bring the kids outdoors as often as we like. On some days, the thot of travelling all the way to East Coast puts off the momentary rush to go under the sun. :P We are thankful for Uncle Andrew, who never says no whenever we wanna pop over to his nice condo swimming pool for a dip and a splash. The kids always shriek with joy when we tell them we are going to Uncle Andrew's house!

So you can imagine our joy when "Bishan Active" was set up recently - in our own backyard! No more lazy excuses to say - too far, what if travel all the way there then rain??? haha...

One morning I took time off from work - decided not to bring kids into childcare for the day (since we don't get to do that next year when Meg's in P1). And after breakfast, we went to Bishan Active to check it out. IT WAS COOL!!!

The playground has a sign to say it's for kids 5-12 years of age and as soon as the kids started playing on the various different contraptions, I could see why. For one, the slide is steeper & narrower. There was this web-like thing for the kids to manoeuvre through and other parts of the playground required the kids to climb and balance and hop around. I really had to stop myself from being the overly-protective parent! haha...

The other end of the ACTIVE had various "machines" for exercises... I thot they were really cool. Esp the one where you sit and try and lift the lever which also raises the seat you're sitting on! In other words, you are toning your muscles by lifting your own weight! haha... what a clever contraption.

And at the far end of the place, there is a sandpit for beach volleyballers (hope it won't become a place for people to start showing-off their torsos and bikinis! NO!!!).

We had a really fun time, trying new things and climbing new heights (pun intended). :)
Here's some evidence of Mr and Ms Spiderman wannabe!

Hey Hann Hann,

I think the playground part is definitely not safe for you... But I've seen younger children playing at the sandpit. So you can ask mommy to bring you there, don't forget your sandcastle kit!

Hey Noe,
Yeah! Come by soon, and let us know! :)
