Feeling a little Brit...

After reading Fiona's blog entry about her feast at the Royal Copenhagen's Tea Lounge, I made a mental note of visiting there the next time we were at Taka. Today's the day! We were trapped in by the heavy rain (parked opp Paragon!) and so we'd purposely eaten a relatively small share of lunch, in preparation for the extra tea to have...

What a treat! We ordered to high tea set for two ($26.90++) and it was really worth it! The kids could choose a slice of cake each from the showcase, we wanted scones and the set came with two scones and a platter of jam, whipped cream and butter to go with them, coffee/tea, and two mini open-faced sandwiches (which were really not that mini!).


They had a slice of lemon cheesecake and a slice of oreo's cheesecake (one favourite for each).



Megan's "sour-face" expression after tasting the lemon cheesecake. She really liked it though! And yes, she was holding their pet toy monkey Onesimus. :P


Two hot-from-the-oven scones with that platter of jam, cream and butter. Really works with for our tums in the rainy weather!

Mr Sim enjoyed his small but great cup of coffee while I had my alltime favourite - Earl Grey's Tea. Soothing to the spirit and the soul!

Sorry, no pics for the not-so-mini sandwiches! We were so busy eating, we forgot!
One had shrimps and caviar ( I think!) and the other had smoked salmon and huge block of what tasted like boxed scrambled eggs! haha... sorry, don't know how else to describe it!

On the topic of food, just wanna share with you my favourite foodblog - The Food Pornographer. The TFP is from Perth - a country very close to our hearts where close friends still reside. She and her partner and 2 cats love eating and eating good food! She snaps really good pics and write very well.
