Read a good quote in Megan's classroom the other day. Teacher Rhonda (Meg's favourite teacher) had thoughtfully pasted it there. Wanna share it with you too.
"If you give someone a slice of bread, that's called KINDNESS.
If you give someone a slice of bread with peanut butter and jam on it, that's called GENEROUSITY."
Isn't that so easy to understand and so true?

Last week was our church's missions week. The kids got a chance to give to the Lord's work in the missions field too! They were given a piggy bank in the shape of a post box. Megan had conscientiously remembered to put coins in there whenever she finds a $1 coin in our wallets. :) So she was v happy (a cheerful giver!) that she was finally able to give it back to God.
She had pledged $10, but I'm pretty sure the coins added up to more than that. This year, she pledged another $10, and so now that the piggy bank is empty, we're gonna start the collection again.
From this little exercise, my little gal taught me about consistent and conscientious giving. But more than that, she taught me, that giving to the Lord is a HAPPY thing! :)
Just like putting peanut butter and jam on that slice of bread - generousity.
