We had a wonderful Saturday last weekend. Thank you, Godpa Roy, for blessing us with the tickets to the AirShow... The BlackKnights were amazing. Many of their aerobatics took our breath away. Joseph was the most excited. Sorry, no pics of the BKs as we're not allowed to share pics till the official Singapore Airshow
is over (cos the tics we had were meant for family members of the RSAF).
So since we can't show you that, we'll show you some of our pics. :P
The kids posing in front of a helicopter. Joseph was especially excited cos all these toys he plays with are suddenly all larger than life! :D
And these were the tanks.
We were waiting in anticipation before the aerobatics performance began. The goodies bags had cookies, drinks, sweets, a Black Knights badge, notebook and a car decal - which is currently on display on our airwave. :) (altho we have nothing to do with the RSAF, haha)
It's not very often you find large empty spaces for our kids to just run around. Megan had fun of her own just running around the grounds of Changi Air Base, pretending to fly like a jetplane. :) Such sweet innocence.
Daddy decided to join in the fun here. Daddy and daughter pretending to "fly" and enjoying a gleeful moment. It's so delightful to see them enjoying each other's presence so much. :)
And after the show finished, we took the train to Bedok and treated ourselves to this!
The famous Bedok Interchange "Watermelon Ice"!!! It was ginormous (and we only got the "medium" sized one) and we had such a good time digging for our favourite longans, watermelon balls, cocktails fruits, nata de coco, pineapples, etc, all amidst shaved ice!!! All these for only $5. Real value for money!
And in the evening, Alan and I spent 3 hours on our own - which is a rare but absolutely much-deserved time to ourselves. He brought me on a slow leisurely drive to Robertson's Quay. We had a really satisfying meal at
Brasserie Wolf. French onion soup, gourmande salad (foie gras! yumz!), he had a slab of tenderloin with bearnaise, I had a slab of rib-eye with butter (we are steak lovers!). With our tummies almost bursting through the seams of our pants, we decided against dessert straight away :) So we took a nice walk along the river, talking, laughing and watching people. What a luxury to just spend time like this unhurriedly.
The nite ended with us driving to Chinatown and we had a bowl of peanut paste as desserts (somehow the nite just needed something sweet to finish off! haha).
Sorry frens, no pics. We forgot our camera. haha...
Thank you Dear. It was a wonderful nite. :)
