We are officially fed-up. Angry. Infuriated.
Those of you who read about Joseph being punched last Sunday by this boy Di earlier would be curious to find out what's our next course of action. Well, let me put it to you in chronological order:
10 Feb
Joseph was punched in the tummy during DiscoveryLand (Adam 10am). It was witnessed by a number of kids and the teachers who were around. He cried. It's the 7th time this boy has terrorised our son.
11 Feb
After struggling the whole nite, we taught our son how to protect himself. That he must not be friends or be near Di. That if Di tries to hurt him, he ought to run away, scream or punch him in the nose.
We told Ps Dom, Ps Bea, Ps Lam (Agapeland's Ps I/C), Ps Pris (DL's Ps I/C), Ps Kelvin (Di's parents' Ps) and Agapeland teachers and principal. We are no longer accepting any apologies (not that they would give any). We want something to be done.
I picked Joejoe from school and Teacher Ivy (Principal) asked if I would like to speak to DI. I said yes, in her presence. I asked him, did you punch Joseph. Yes. Do you know it's painful? Yes. Why did you do it? Silence. Did he do something to make you angry? Silence.

The pastors replied us. Told us to hold our letter of complaint to MCYS. Told us their course of action - home visit to Di's and that they will speak to his parents.
PDom came to speak with me. Told me his stand, as a father. I really appreciate this.
13 Feb
We saw Di's father when we were picking the kids up in the evening. He was trying to avoid us but we went up to him and asked him he knew his son had punched our son. He turned defensive straight away and yelled "Which one?!" Stupid answer. What happened next was him shouting at us, accusing us of being rude to him, totally avoiding the point of the matter - that his son is violent! He dared us to complain to whoever, and told us ridiculously that we won't get anywhere.
The security guards at Adam heard and called Ps Lam down. She was empathetic and told us that the church is handling it. And at the same time, she was trying to calm us down.
We spoke to four other sets of parents (who's kids are in Joe's class). All their kids have been hurt by Di before. Two of them even shared that they had a hard time getting their kids to go to school cos they were scared of Di after his attacks.
Di's father stayed inside the school and didn't have the guts to come out even after half an hour. A coward in denial.

We are torn. We talked about how we felt and we felt that we are going against the Church's core values - incredible unity. They are fellow leaders of the church. But yet, looking at the father's attitude, how can we just let it be again?
So that's where we are at now.
Pray for us ya. We need godly wisdom. To be a parent, and to do the right thing.

Indeed, it is a difficult situation to be caught in.
