In our home, biscuits are known as Bikkies. And boy, do we all love them! All kinds! We've baked cakes, muffins and pies before, but not Bikkies. One afternoon, I decided to take some time off work (again - been working on Sats so have accumulated some off-in-lieu). After getting our supplies from one of my favourite shops - Phoon Huat, the kids and I went home early from school to try our hand at baking Bikkies. :)
We were not very good at it, it is our first time! But we had lotsa fun! Tried to follow the recipe as closely as we could, but as it turned out, the mixture turned out too soft/watery. We couldn't roll it out and use our cookie cutters to cut them into shapes. So we circumvented a failed attempt by just scooping out spoonfuls of mixtures putting them into the oven. The kids were amused that one small little lump could grow into such a big Bikkie, all thanks to the amazing self-raising flour! :P

After that, we made colourful icing from icing sugar and colouring and we had fun decorating the Bikkies with syringes! Something we learnt from a party we attended recently ran by Kooky Art.
Here're some pics of the fun we had!
