It's been a great year, in terms of Megan starting her primary school education. We've gotten a good grasp of the way the school works, what is demanded of her and how she can enjoy the journey, despite the unavoidable stress that comes along in the journey.
Thankful to God, first of all, for a great teacher, Mdm Lim. She's a senior teacher in the school and is skillful in handling the difficult pupils in her class, and yet, still balancing to nurture the others who are more advanced. She gives me an impression as an educator who's cool and calm in her ways, firm and yet loving.
We're also grateful that God has sent Megan many good friends, boys and girls alike. Alan and I have also become good friends with some of their parents, like-minded ones who are non-competitive and not interested to compare results or achievements. We've been able to support one another - we sms each other when we're not sure about the instructions our children bring home (like what to wear for Speech and Drama performance the next day!), we wait with each other's children when the other one is late, and we congratulate each other when one of our kids win awards in school.
These were things we had asked God for before Megan started P1, and now they are answered prayers!
Unfortunately for KCPPS, there is banding done for the top 2 classes at the release of the P1 results. Megan won't be in the same class with her closest friends, in fact, she was a little teary when I picked her up on the last day of school. Good that we know the parents of the others too, we hope to still meet up during the holidays. Already a zoo trip and a visit to a chalet is in the planning. :) So our little gal will have to learn the truth about "farewells" at such a young age. SIGH.
Share our joy, our little girl's results. Praise God for teaching her the principle of sowing and reaping. She received two awards this year. Top student in her class (which she shares with another Trinitarian!) and Best in Chinese for P1 standard (my daughter indeed!) :)

And naturally, the most exciting thing for her about getting these two awards are the tangible rewards! She received vouchers from Times and MPH from school (to buy more books!!) and of cos, Daddy and Mommy gave her others (secret!).
Thanks for making us proud Sweetie!
