We are so blessed!
Through the years, we have been recipients of God's abundant blessings through family, frens, pastors, colleagues. More than we can count & much more than we expected!
The latest blessing brought me to tears.
We've always wished for Megan to pick up piano. She's displayed hints of musicality and in our hearts, we think she can make it if she tries. But nope, this lil girl seemed adamant in not wanting to pick up this instrument. We have been told that music, just like languages, should have a 1st and 2nd language. And Piano is that 1st language. But we don't wanna force it down on her - that would be a sure way to kill any musical interests in her!
But 2 weeks ago, we were listening to some music in our car. And Megan suddenly asked if she can learn the Violin. So we went on to ask why and whether she is sure she is ready to commit to all the practices and self-discipline. She wasn't extremely excited, but on the other hand, she appeared sure and quietly confident. Hmm...
And guess how God blessed us?
The following week, we got a phonecall from an old and dear fren Aiwee. Her son Shawn had learnt the violin since he was 5. And they are gonna be migrating to Melbourne soon and so would like us to inherit all FOUR of his violins!!! (The violins will need to be changed as the child grows). How do you even begin perceiving such a blessing coming your way? And so we picked them up, all 4 of them, different sizes, with different bows. Here they are:
Look at these beautiful instruments! First time I held a violin (Sal)!
haha.
Our little gal trying her hand out at the smallest violin. She looks pretty good, I must say!
And of course, the little boy himself must give it a go too. :) Not bad eh?
Look at that smile!
God, thank YOU!!!
