Haven't quite blogged for a while now... been accumulating some thoughts and feelings of happenings around me. Share with you!
1. Our Son turned 4!
My baby is Four. He is our pride and our joy. Enjoying him more and more each day. Love cuddling him and kissing him all over. His laughter is the most delightful sound in our world and spending time with him is always so full of surprises, cos he always says the most unexpected things, and makes the funniest comments. He has a Ginormous heart (as verified by his childcare teacher) - always looking out for his sister, us, his classmates.
I love watching him sleep, carefully investigating his fingers, his eyelashes, the little hairs on his forehead and sideburns - so perfect! haha...
Crazy about this little boy... that's me, his mommy!
Joejoe as a 3 day old baby.
And Joejoe as a 4 yr old big boy! :)
2. Noelle's Blog Episode
The episode that left us all with a bitter taste in our mouths. Seriously, why do parents feel the need to criticise other parents' way of discipline openly? Isn't it common and basic courtesy to just keep your comments to yourself or if you really can't hold it in, talk to you spouse lah! Why must you impose your thots and baggage on other people's blog? It becomes a personal attack! Bug off!
I know Noe was hurt by these people's comments. But I also know she has come back stronger. And that's the Noe I know and love.
3. We're in Phase 2B of KCPPS!
Yup. We're into it too. Started volunteering for Kuo Chuan Presbyterian Primary School.
This is primary school we are believing to have Megan and Joseph spend the 6 pivotal yrs of their lives in. Praise God, for placing Ps Bryan in the PSG committee!!! Cos that's how we managed to get volunteering opportunites so soon. hee. We've clocked 12 hours as of now, and have another 28hours more to go!!! Alan and I will be doing up and manning a game stall at their Children's Day Carnival end Sept - our station will be called "Slam Dunk"!
Thank God also for nice people in our team, made friends with a couple who have the same wavelength as us (that's really important!!!). They have two boys, Josiah the older one, is the same age as Megan. And Joshua, the younger one, is same age as Joejoe! Hee...
4. Dad is settling down...
Alot of you have been asking about my dad. Thanks so much for your concern. He's settling well back here. And mom is slowly getting used to seeing dad everyday again! haha...
That episode in Jakarta must have been really traumatising for him. He fell ill after arriving back here. So we're letting him just enjoy life for awhile more before he starts to look for a job again. And I think he is. Just on Sat, he was laughing and laughing with the kids. Really heartening to see my Dad like this again. Thank You Jesus!!!
5. We're going to take an aeroplane!! :)
Ever since Alan joined me in CCSS, overseas holidays have been an expensive luxury. There's always a fear of over-committing for a holiday that last just for a week and then we'd have punched a hole in our savings.
So after 2.5 years (the last one was in 2005 to Perth), we're taking the kids to Bangkok for a holiday! So excited! Thank God for Hum and Cha, our very own Thai Guides, for booking really inexp accomodation for us (rite in the middle of MBK) and also really good deals travelling around here and there. And also, thank God for cheap (relatively) air-tics! We are indeed blessed.
6. We visited City Harvest Church yesterday!
WHAT??? Worship leader go to another church???!?!? haha... Yes and no. We just VISITED.
Cos of Joyce Meyer. She is one of our fave speakers and since Daf invited us, we decided to go!
And how blessed we were! God was so evident in the congregation of 10,000 there at the Expo. Throughout worship, throughout the Emerge 07 video, throughout Dr Meyer's message (which I might share about on another occasion). And the kids loved it in the children's church too. :)
Ok, that's it for now! Have a great week folks!
