Do You Know that the Church was Praying for You??

For readers of this blog, you may be aware that Sally's dad is back in Singapore safe and sound. And he has gotten a job in Singapore. Tough job but at least he's gainfully employed. But it is physically strenuous, long hours. Nonetheless, the family is thankful that God provided a job for dad.

During the ordeal, the church, our leaders, our friends were all praying. I remember PBea saying that we should find an opportunity and tell dad about this because we are convinced that God was the one who orchestrated and brought dad back. However, we have not had the opportunity to broach this to dad.

And a couple of Saturdays ago, we went out for a quick bite at Ang Mo Kio and incidentally, we walked towards the same place where mom received the news/the call from dad about his illegal detention. As we were approaching there, God reminded me, "Son, now is the opportunity to tell him". So I plucked up my courage and put my arms around dad and pointed Dad to the exact spot...

"Dad, did you know that when your phone call came, we were exactly here at this place, and mom broke into tears right here"

Dad looked.

"And do you know that we had the whole church (in a sense)... we had all our friends to pray for you, for your safety and for God to intervene so that you can come home."

Dad nodded his head...

I pray that through that short conversation, God will impress upon dad's heart that God was in control and God intervened and most important of all, God cared and love him. God's people cared for him and prayed for him. And that in future, whenever dad faces a situation, he will remember and know Who he can call upon.

Let the peace of God reign in dad's heart...

My Daddy checking out.
