P1 countdown...

As part of our exciting preparation for Megan entering P1, we thought we'd just update the stuff we do as we go along. One of the highlights for the little girl (and also for us) was for her to wear her school uniform for the first time. Auntie Bea (who stays above United Uniforms in TPY) gave us a piece of timely advice. The queues made by parents at this uniform shop from end Nov to end Dec is appalling - so we decided to go earlier. And true enough, there was no queue. We had great service and a pleasant shopping experience there (altho we only bought two sets of the pinafore/dress).

This uniform is quite unique. It looks like a two-piece, a white shirt with a traditional pinafore over it. But it's actually a one piece - pinafore with faux collar and sleeves and belt! Now, as an ex-IJ gal, I can't even begin to describe how clever I think the designer for this uniform is! No need to arrange those dreadful pleats, no need to worry about how much to "fluff out" above the belt, no need to feel hot everyday cos we wear two layers (not counting the PE tee)!

And above all, we think our little gal looks nice in it! haha... She needed a bit of coaching on how to wear it initially, but after that, she didn't wanna take it off! Of course, I haven't told her she'll have to wear that for the next 6 years! haha...

Here she is, decked in the "Aflame for Truth" pinafore dress, complete with her trademark dimpled smile.
