Seasons

Was talking to a good friend about seasons in life. And how sad it is that some relationships in our lives can't weather the test of time. These are people we were once so close to, sharing meals, spending every weekend together... but overtime, we had moved on and out of each other's lives.
Then there are some others whom we could never picture ourselves being close to once upon a time. But overtime, we've all matured and overcome pettiness over unimportant things. We are now able to have many decent conversations, sharing details, laughing and comforting each other.

And then, there are some other friends who've left our regular course of interaction, either left the same workplace, moved to another church, ministry or even another country. And yet for these, the once-in-a-while email, sms, meet-up still conjure up so much fun and good feelings. We don't make comparisons with our children or measure who has achieved more in life. But we rejoice with them for how beautiful their children are and they, with us.

We've been consciously meeting up and spending time with friends and family in our lives. These gatherings are almost always around food... which is the natural icebreaker... but the real treat is always the catching up, the laughter and the desire to want to meet up more in future.

We thank God for positioning us in our church, our ministries, our workplaces, our families, our groups of friends and our areas of influence. And we thank God for our dear families and friends. :)
